COLLEGE'S "TRANSFER DAYS" PLANNED FOR NOV. 7-8

10/18/2007

More than 80 Colleges and Universities Will be Represented During Nov. 7-8 Event in Shepard Center

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – Representatives from more than 80 colleges and universities will convene at SUNY Orange on Nov. 7 and 8 to participate in the College’s annual “Transfer Days.” The event, which allows SUNY Orange students as well as community members to investigate available educational opportunities beyond pursuit of their associate degrees, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day in the George F. Shepard Center cafeteria.

To assure that its students enjoy smooth transition to four-year colleges and universities, and to establish a foundation for continued academic achievement for students, SUNY Orange maintains articulation (transfer) agreements with many academic institutions.

Such comprehensive agreements range from identifying selected courses that will transfer to outlining entire SUNY Orange degree programs that will allow graduates to enter four-year colleges or universities with full junior status. For more information on “Transfer Days,” contact the Advising and Counseling Office at (845) 341-4070. For specific information on SUNY Orange’s articulation agreements, contact the Office of Educational Partnerships at (845) 341-4760 or visit the College web site at www.sunyorange.edu.
