As Student Trustee, Brock’s chief responsibilities will be to represent the College’s 6,500-plus student body at board meetings while also providing a student perspective to the trustees tasked with charting SUNY Orange’s future over the ensuing academic year.

Brock, who graduated from Minisink Valley High School in 2005 with an advanced Regents degree, is majoring in engineering. He has been an active presence on campus during his time at the College, having served as treasurer of the SUNY Orange Student Senate during the 2006-07 academic year. He also was the student representative on three College committees: campus safety and security, curriculum and cultural affairs.

At SUNY Orange’s Fall Convocation, held Sept. 7, Brock was presented a trio of scholarships: John J. McMahon Leadership Scholarship, Orange Sullivan Chapter NYS Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship and the Ottaway Scholarship.

Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
