Learning Resource Center (LRC)

Learning Resource CenterThe Learning Resource Center (LRC) at the Newburgh Extension Center is located in Room 123 on the 1st floor.

The Facility Contains:

  • A growing collection of Reference books and periodicals covering a wide variety of subjects.
  • Computers for accessing a wide range of research databases. A complete list of database titles can be found on the LRC main page on the college web site – www.sunyorange.edu/lrc/
  • Study tables with comfortable seating.

Services provided include, but are not limited to:

  • Research help. A librarian is available 20 hours per week to assist students in planning and undertaking research.
  • Reserve service. Faculty may place books and articles on reserve for student reading.
  • Interlibrary Loan. Students can order books and copies of periodical articles from other libraries.
  • Library Instruction. Instruction sessions may be scheduled by faculty to provide either a very basic introduction to the LRC, or to include specific resources tailored to your classes.

The facility is open for study Monday – Friday with Reference assistance available during the following hours:

Monday 9 am – 4 pm
Tuesday 9 am – 5 pm
Wednesday 9 am – 12 pm
Thursday 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm
