Library

The Library at the Newburgh Campus is located in Room B-1 on the basement floor of Tower Building next to the cafeteria.

The Facility Contains:

  • A growing collection of Reference books and periodicals covering a wide variety of subjects.
  • NEC LIB ShelvesComputers for accessing a wide range of research databases. A complete list of database titles can be found on the Library's main page on the college web site.
  • Study tables with comfortable seating.
  • Books are now available for circulating. You can check out any of our circulating books with your library barcode.


Services provided include, but are not limited to:

  • Research help. A librarian is available 45 hours per week to assist students in planning and undertaking research.
  • LIB ClassroomReserve service. Faculty may place books and articles on reserve for student reading.
  • Interlibrary Loan. Students can order books and copies of periodical articles from other libraries.
  • Library Instruction. Instruction sessions may be scheduled by faculty to provide either a very basic introduction to the Library's resources, or to include specific resources tailored to your classes.
  • Reserve material can be checked out at the reference desk.

The facility is open for study Monday – Friday with Reference assistance available during the following hours:
