Health Services
One morning each week "the Nurse is In" at the Newburgh Extension Center. On Wednesday mornings (8-12), Mary Mulrooney-Kenny, Director of Health Services, is available in Room 132 to students and staff for in-person consultation. On a daily basis Heath Services provides students at NEC with services by means of an extensive collection of health information brochures on a wide variety of health topics, a vending machine that allows students to inexpensively purchase Over-the-Counter medications and the nurse is always available by phone to answer questions and/or make referrals to students. Peter Cutty and JoAnne Penzato, Newburgh's academic advisors/counselors, are just a phone call away from the campus nurse and are often able to help students make the connection. Special events such as blood pressure clinics, Cholesterol Screening Days, and outreach events on special interest health topics are scheduled throughout the year.
The Main Campus Health Services Office can be reached at 341-4870.
