SUNY Orange, "If you have the dream, we have the way!"

Newburgh Campus Health Services

The mission of SUNY Orange Health Services is Health Education and Wellness. On a daily basis, Heath Services provides students at the Newburgh Campus with an extensive collection of health information brochures on a wide variety of health topics, and a vending machine that allows students to inexpensively purchase Over-the-Counter medications. A nurse is always available by phone to answer questions and/or make referrals to students. Peter Cutty and JoAnne Penzato, Newburgh's academic advisors/counselors, are just a phone call away from the campus nurse and are often able to help students make the connection. Throughout the year, most of the special events and programs held at the Suny Orange Middletown Campus are replicated in Newburgh. Listed below are the Fall 2010 events occurring on the Newburgh Campus:

      • Increases awareness about the impact of violence in people's lives.
      • Celebrates a woman's strength to survive.
      • Provides an avenue for her to courageously break the silence that often surrounds domestic violence.
