Assessment
All newly matriculated students at SUNY Orange are required to take (or be waived from) the SUNY Orange administered course placement assessment. This exam assesses each student´s reading, writing and math skills, and places the student into the appropriate level classes in each of these areas. The assessment exam is given at the Newburgh Extension Site regularly as follows:
- Wednesday @ 5:30pm AND Thursday @ 2:00pm
*** Additional days and times may be scheduled on an as needed basis during busy admission and registration times.
No appointment is necessary, but a $25 non-refundable assessment fee must be paid prior to taking the Assessment at the Bursar Office. Upon enrollment in course(s) at SUNY Orange, this fee will be applied towards tuition charges.
