SUNY Orange, "If you have the dream, we have the way!"SUNY Orange

Web Single Sign-On Implementation

SUNY Orange faculty, staff and students:

The way you access your online services at SUNY Orange is about to change. Effective May 24, 2010, you will be able to access the College's online services (Banner, G-Mail and Angel) with one username and password, rather than needing to remember individual usernames and passwords for each application.

PHOTO: New MySUNYOrange log in pageOn May 24, online users who access the current MySUNYOrange page will be redirected to a Web Single Sign-on login page (shown at right). It will be on this new login page where you enter your username and initial password (see FAQs below for information on usernames and initial passwords). Upon your first log in, you will be prompted to create a personalized password and answer a series of security questions that will be associated with your account. It is important to remember your answers because these questions will be asked whenever you need to change/reset your password.

Upon successful completion of the password creation process, you will be sent to a newly redesigned MySUNYOrange page (below). On the left side of this new landing page are links to G-Mail (student e-mail), Banner (student accounts and records) and Angel (online classes and course shells). Use those links to activate each individual online service.

You will also see a direct link to the online databases available through the College’s Library web site (please note that you will still need to use your library database login information … you are not automatically logged into the databases with your Web Single Sign-on student username).

You will also notice a “login status” window in the upper right corner of this page. Please remember to log out each time you complete a session. This will assure that others will not be able to access and/or misuse your account and personal information.

FACULTY/STAFF: It is important to note that this change affects access to your online services ONLY. The method for accessing College-issued laptops or computer workstations, via Novell, WILL NOT change. In addition, access to Internet Native Banner and Microsoft Outlook for e-mail WILL NOT change. You will continue to access those items as you always have. This change affects your access to web services only.

ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS: This change will not affect your ability to access on-campus computers or classroom instructional technology.
