Admission Requirements

  1. Attendance at pre-admissions orientation.
  2. High School Diploma or GED is required.
  3. Successful completion of a physical examination which includes Tuberculosis screening, proof of immunity to measles, mumps, rubella and varicella, and a 10 panel drug screen.

Course Description

7 credits, 210 hours, 16 weeks

Training in drawing and handling blood samples for laboratory testing in hospitals, doctors' office, and large service laboratories. Emphasis on approved methods and safety, medical terminology, anatomy, and laboratory procedures.

Students are eligible to sit for National Certification Examination upon successful completion of this NAACLS approved course of study.


Structure and Cost

  • WEEKS I, II, III and IV - students attend class on campus Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
  • WEEKS V - XV - students will report to their assigned clinical facility on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays - 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM. They will, in addition, attend classes on campus Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
