How to check for the Anti-Virus program

We would like for all staff and faculty to check their computers to see if they have an anti-virus program installed.

Please start your computer and let it boot all the way to the desktop. Once you are at the desktop, look in the lower right corner of the Desktop and see if there is a Yellow C, or a Purple dot with small Purple dots around it.

Please see the illustrations below and match it to your desktop.

If you do not see either of the icons, please call Dan Wise at x4596 and let him know. Also, please indicate what operating system you are running, (if you know), Win98, Win 2000 or Win XP.

Look for the "Yellow C" in the tray

Look for the "Purple dot and small dots going around it"
