I am an anthropologist in the Global Studies department and regularly teach “Cultural and Social Anthropology,” “Archaeology and Prehistory,” “Human Evolution,” "Introduction to Sociology" and “Human Geography.” My research interests have largely focused on Southwestern archaeology, particularly the late precontact period in southern Arizona.  Additionally, I am interested in archaeological method and theory, the sociology of science, and the socio-history of archaeological thought. I have conducted archaeological fieldwork throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Northern Mexico and the tri-state area.

I am currently working on a cooperative archaeological project with SUNY-Westchester, CUNY-Hunter and SUNY-Orange students excavating a potential Revolutionary War era site in Putnam County, NY.
