Edgar Gutiérrez is an Associate  Professor of Foreign Languages and teaches Spanish and Italian. He received his Master’s Degree in POLITICAL SCIENCE AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS from the University of Madrid, Spain. He has coordinated and assisted with international field study programs through SUNY Orange in Greece, Turkey, Italy, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Spain and Peru.  He has also taught Spanish classes to teachers from local school districts as well as developed Spanish Immersion Programs for different organizations such as the Middletown Psychiatric Center for medical personnel, New York State Migrant Education Program staff, Law Enforcement courses for the FBI at Otisville and Cornell Cooperative Extension Courses in Middletown.  Edgar has also taught Graduate Studies Course in Hispanic Culture for Marist College, Undergraduate courses in French and Spanish for Mercy College, Undergraduate courses in Spanish for Mount Saint Mary College and as been an Interpreter for the Orange County Probation Department. Edgar is fluent in Spanish, English, French and  Italian.   He is an avid reader and has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Morocco, North and South America.
