N
ow in their fortieth-eighth year as a children’s theatre company, the Paper Bag Players of New York City are bringing their classic show of songs, skits, and bright costumes DANDELION to entertain, educate, and enchant children and their families and friends. Another feature of the performance is live music played by pianist/ composer John Stone.
Artistic Director/Choreographer Judith Martin packs comedy, adventure, music, movement, and audience participation into each performance which relates to everyday events in children’s lives. In addition, sets, props, and costumes are made of things and materials to which children have easy access such as boxes, paper, old clothes, and household items.
Attending a performance by the Paper Bag Players is an opportunity for children to experience first-rate live theatre.
In addition to the performance of DANDELION, children and their families and friends are invited to come early at 1 PM to Orange Hall Gallery and join in the fun of Hands on Learning, a projects exhibit presented by the Center for Teaching and Learning. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
