About the Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Grant

SUNY Orange has secured a role in the Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Grant.

Partnering with The Solar Energy Consortium (TSEC) and Gateway to Entrepreneurial Tomorrows (GET) we will address the gaps and opportunities specific for Newburgh and the surrounding area by strengthening linkages to the renewable energy and manufacturing industries. Creating an educational pathway for our students and strengthening our relationships with the community.

Funding for this grant is from three federal agencies, U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA), and the Small Business Administration (SBA). Federal Agencies

Economic Development Administration (EDA) - is an U.S. agency that provides grants to economically distressed communities to generate new employment, help retain existing jobs and stimulate industrial and commercial growth. For more information please visit the EDA website†.

Employment and Training Administration (ETA) – is a U.S. agency that administers federal government job training and worker dislocation programs, federal grants to states for public employment service programs, and unemployment insurance benefits.
