This course is designed for students 18 years and older who have not completed high school to prepare for the TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion) test. The curriculum is based on the Common Core State Standards and will prepare students for the five TASC sub-tests: writing, reading; social studies; math and science. The course will move through McGraw Hill’s “Common Core Basics (6th-8th grade levels) to Achieve” (9th-12th grade levels) subject areas. The goal of the course is to provide sufficient foundational and conceptual skills so that students can pass the TASC test, partake in pre-college courses, enhance their initial college placement scores, and matriculate to college. 40 sessions
