N3295 - Suicide Risk Assessment and Prevention

This class will provide knowledge regarding the size and scope of the suicide problem in America. Risk factors; relationship of mental illness and addictions to suicide; how to determine immediate risk for suicide; how to question suicidal persons; and how to refer suicidal persons to resources will be covered.

This course counts toward the 30 hours required for Special Population Groups and CASAC students may take this course in place of, or in addition to, one of the Special Population Group courses offered in Module II. Non-CASAC students may also register for this course for informational purposes.
