SUNY Orange College High School Equivalency (HSE) Classes (formerly GED®)
SUNY Orange has established classes throughout Orange County for individuals who are looking to improve their job opportunities or are seeking entrance into College by earning their HSE diploma. Emphasis will be on improving writing and math skills using creative thinking and problem-solving strategies that allow students to successfuly pass the TASC test. 120 hours of instruction.
Only 18 and older can attend. You must register in person prior to the start of the class. For Middletown, register with the Registrar in the Shepard Student Center on the Middletown Campus. For Newburgh, please call (845) 341-9532 to schedule an appointment.
Class fee is $12 payable by check, credit card or money order.
You must attend classes FOUR days per week so you can take two days of math and two days of all other subjects.
Your instructor will advise you on the purchase of books and materials for the class. Please do not purchase books in advance as teachers will discuss which book to purchase on the first day of class.
