SUNY Orange College High School Equivalency (HSE) Classes (formerly GED®)

SUNY Orange has established classes throughout Orange County for individuals who are looking to improve their job opportunities or are seeking entrance into College by earning their HSE diploma. Emphasis will be on improving writing and math skills using creative thinking and problem-solving strategies that allow students to successfuly pass the new TASC test. 100 hours of instruction.

Only 18 and older can attend. You must register in person prior to the start of the class. For Middletown, register with CAPE located at the Christine Morrison House or call (845) 341-4890 for more information. For Newburgh, pleaese call (845) 341-9532 to schedule an orientation session. 

Class fee is $12 payable by cash, check, credit card or money order.

SUNY Orange offers the highest quality of instruction in its College HSE program. You must attend classes FOUR days per week so you can take two days of math and two days of all other subjects.

Your instructor will advise you on the purchase of all books for the class. Please do not purchase books in advance as teachers will discuss which book to purchase on the first day of class.
