History of The Biology Club

The Biology Club was founded in 1958 under the name of The Agassiz Society. Pictured above is Ann Smith, David Horton, and Dr. Ray Wood, the first advisor to the club.

The club has also launched a long-term endeavor to restore Sugar, a mounted skeleton of a mastodon currently displayed in the Biotechnology Building, which is beginning to show signs of deterioration.

2007

During the 2007-2008 academic year, the "Agassiz Society" changed its name officially to the "Biology Club".
