Barry D. Kass is a Professor Emeritus of Anthropology at SUNY Orange.  He presently teaches part-time for the college.  He has a B. A. in Anthropology (Harpur College, SUNY Binghamton, 1967) and an M. A. in Anthropology (Graduate School, SUNY Binghamton, 1969).  He has conducted archaeological research in Utah (1969) and in 1975 was a U. S. National Park Ranger-Archaeologist at Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado.  Prof. Kass also had been involved in contract archaeology in the lower Hudson Valley for many years.  He has organized and led many travel-learn programs for SUNY Orange, including to Mexico, Honduras, Belize, Guatemala, Peru, Egypt, Turkey, Kenya, and the American Southwest.  His present interests include visual anthropology, and he has founded and is the chief photographer/web site administrator for the collection of anthropological photographs located at
