I'm a graduate of SUNY Orange, the University of Florida and Drake University. I've taken
courses at New Paltz, achieving second competency in Sociology with an emphasis on Gender.
I've also taken courses at Marist and Capella on-line concentrating in Educational Psychology.
I majored in Psychology with an emphasis in Experimental and Industrial Psychology. I became
bored in graduate school and sat-in on the School Psychology Program.
I spent 15 years as a Psychmetrician for the Orange County Dept. of Health: Early Intervention Program. I've spent many years working with developmentally disabled children, abused children, and children suffering from grief and depression as well as learning disabilities.
At SUNY Orange I enjoyed teaching General I, Child, Educational
Psychology and Sex and Gender. I created the Teaching Assistant Certificate and AS Degree in
Human Services. I served many years in administration as Coordinator of the CCHS Program and Department Chair of Social Sciences and then Behavioral Sciences. I've discovered that working in the classroom with students is much more fulfilling.
