What is Strengthened Campus Based Assessment?
Strengthened Campus Based Assessment results from a SUNY Board of Trustees resolution adopted in June 2004. This initiative requires campuses to use externally-referenced measures, nationally normed exams or rubrics developed by discipline based panels of SUNY distinguished faculty, to assess student achievement of learning outcomes.

What does SCBA look like at SUNY Orange?
SUNY Orange has collaboratively developed SCBA plans for each of the three SCBA General Education areas. The plans were submitted to GEAR in February 2006. They have been approved for implementation beginning July (2006). The table below summarizes the implementation schedule of the assessments and provides a link to each of the SCBA plans that were submitted to GEAR.
