Join our team of tutors and become part of a close community of learners and educators! The Center for Student Success is staffed with tutors who come from a variety of backgrounds, including current students, recent graduates, and professionals in their field. As a tutor, you have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the SUNY Orange community, and contribute to our students' growth!

Peer Tutors

A Peer Tutor is a SUNY Orange student who is recommended by his or her instructor and demonstrates a high level of academic achievement in their subject area. If you are interested in becoming a Peer Tutor, please fill out our Peer Tutor Application.

Senior Peer Tutors

A Senior Peer Tutor must have a conferred Associates degree with transcripts from an accredited institution. If you are interested in becoming a Senior Peer Tutor but are not a current or previous SUNY Orange student, please fill out the Professional Tutor Application. If you are a current student with an Associates, please fill out our Peer Tutor Application.

Professional Tutors

A Professional Tutor must have a Bachelor's degree and be approved for hire by both the Director of the Center for Student Success and the Academic Department Chairperson for the courses to be tutored. If you are interested in becoming a Professional Tutor, please fill out the Professional Tutor Application.

All tutor applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Once applications have been received, we will contact eligible candidates to schedule an interview.
